|
Reporting to the VP, Global Quality and Product Assurance, the Principle Compliance Engineer requires agility in assessing the impact of regulatory changes on the product design, and supply chain, while providing technical support and advice on concepts and preliminary product design and content. The candidate will be key contributor to the Toronto Global Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Program-level compliance management, including administration and deployment, across a broad range of consumer products
• Strong project management and collaboration skills to lead projects in conjunction with quality assurance, product engineering & development, customer service, legal, etc
• Monitor and work collaboratively with local and international regulatory, standards and governance groups (e.g., CPSA, Health Canada, etc.) to be aware of changing regulations

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Industry specific experience is not required; however ideal candidates will have experience with consumer products
• Experience working with engineering and product records and specifications and leveraging these as part of the compliance program management
• Excellent leadership skills with future potential to grow
• Exceptional ability to interpret regulatory changes and build action plans with stakeholders relating to product development initiatives, existing inventories, on-shelf items and more
• Passion for identifying and solving problems in a determined, proactive and collaborative fashion
• Strong consumer-driven approach and ability to understand the implications in a product development, manufacturing, distribution and retail environment
