Job Description
You will be responsible for the efficient operation and consistent effectiveness of the safety and radiation monitoring and protection programs, health services, as well as the quality assurance/quality control functions at site. You will ensure ongoing development of safety and radiation protection training programs for all site personnel, as well as implementation and auditing of quality assurance, quality control and health and safety.

You will be responsible for regulatory compliance, while maintaining open lines of communication with all regulators and stakeholders. You will help guide the operation in developing, implementing and sustaining an outstanding safety culture.

The site at Rabbit Lake in northern Saskatchewan operates on a rotational work schedule, where employees commute to the workplace by aircraft.

Requirements
You have a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, supplemented by a minimum of ten years of related experience or equivalent. Extensive knowledge of safety, radiation and quality legislation, and their application in the context of uranium mining and milling is required. Excellent leadership and communication skills are also a requirement.

The Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) designation, or other relevant professional certifications are required including the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).

Experience with ISO management system development, implementation, registration and maintenance is a definite asset.
