The Pediatric Quality Improvement Team at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore is looking for a dynamic, motivated and excited individual to join us in our mission to ensure every child receives the highest quality medical care at all times. The Assistant Medical Director of Pediatric Quality will lead, research, coordinate, plan, teach, and implement performance improvement initiatives, both within this growing academic pediatric department and throughout the hospital system. Clinical work and research productivity will be key components of the position, along with a focus on operational pediatric quality improvement. This full-time faculty position will include academic appointment at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. Can work clinically in any pediatric area, although priority will be given to Pediatric Hospital Medicine and Pediatric Intensive Care-focused physicians.

This candidate will join a driven group of practitioners and rigorous quality improvement researchers, and have the opportunity to pursue personal as well as departmental interests around quality improvement. Requirements: • Must be a licensed physician or doctorate level nurse • Must attain Institutional Research Board (IRB) certification for research within six months of hire. • Prior quality improvement training and experience is preferred, and additional quality improvement training opportunities may be available as needed. • Prior research experience is preferred, and additional research training opportunities may be available as needed.
