What You Will Do: You will be responsible for assisting in the development and support of production processes that manufacturing our products with efficiency and quality within QSR and ISO guidelines. You will routinely conduct technical work involving our projects at an entry level of engineering design and detail. You will also assist manufacturing engineering with the transition of new products from development engineering to the production phase.

What Success Looks Like:
Use established procedures to perform prescribed tasks related to engineering support of project completion
Must be able to follow directions and produce detail for design and development assignments in support of company and department objectives
Be able to author and execute accurate documentation for procedures and for basic Installation, Operation, and Performance Qualifications in support of process validations, this includes conducting feasibility assessment and functional testing of products and equipment
Be able to develop and execute basic Design of Experiments (DOE's)
Be able to execute and report on experiments and maintain accurate records
Be able to generate Change Orders, Deviations, etc. in electronic documentation software (Agile)
Be able to generate drawings using CAD (SolidWorks)
Be able to utilize statistical software (Minitab)
Assists with the development and monitoring of statistical process control
Assist other engineering disciplines during the development of new products to ensure future manufacturability; work to optimize existing process output, and yield
Interface with assemblers to manage design implementation through formal training and other means of continued support
Support Manufacturing with data collection to include but not limited to rework, and scrap
Support Manufacturing in regards to production and line down issues
Assist or leads in the development of solutions and alternatives to assigned problems
Adhere to engineering standards and procedures
Develop the knowledge and skills to utilize engineering systems and/or tools
Assist as necessary with use, maintenance, and repair of equipment
Carry out assignments in a safe and efficient manner. All development of processes and systems should maintain a focus on safety and ergonomics and be in accordance with all established safety codes, polices and government guidelines

Supports manufacturing operations and other job duties as necessary
Two year technical degree or unrelated four year degree, 1 year experience as technician or High School or equivalent plus two years' experience as technician
Areas of specialization include: electronics, mechanics, and calibrations/standards.
Minimum of 1 year experience in an FDA regulated environment, prefer experience in manufacturing or other technical area
Experience following written procedures and documenting work performed
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Strong leadership skills among technicians
Ability to prioritize work assignments
Experience in lab environment
Must be able to speak and write English fluently
Mechanical aptitude with ability to use common hand tools and power tools
Candidate must possess strong computer skills and be proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Lotus notes
Experience routing change orders is preferred.
Ability to coordinate training efforts between multiple operators while not impacting daily production
Material and Equipment Directly Used:
General measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and tensile test equipment
Production equipment and tools, as necessary
