The Office of Research and Economic Development is seeking a Research Integrity Coordinator II. The Research Integrity Coordinator II is responsible for conducting preventative education and outreach activities and post-approval monitoring of research protocols under the direction of the Director of Research Integrity. Identifies instances of non-compliance, drafts reports of audit findings, provides recommendations, and develops corrective action plans. Reviews and manages protocol submissions.
Conducts preventive education and outreach training activities to proactively train researchers on areas relating to compliance and the responsible conduct of research.
Enhances community awareness of the regulatory requirements on conducting research.
Conducts post-approval quality assurance monitoring of research projects.
Drafts reports outlining audit findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
Maintains records of all sign-in sheets, presentations, and quality assurance reviews in a centralized location.
Reviews data and safety monitoring plans, adverse event reports, protocol deviations, and corrective action reports.
Validates continued maintenance of corrective action plans and assists with further compliance investigations as appropriate.
Identifies recurrent gaps in non-compliance and assists with developing new educational resources for faculty, staff, and students.
Updates and educates research compliance committee members on new federal regulation developments and the appropriateness of review procedures.
Reviews and manages protocol submissions in accordance with federal regulations.
Collaborates in the preparation of compliance reports.
Monitors issues, develops, and implements improvement plans as needed.
Serves as a resource and provides support to various research-related committees.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience with an IRB, auditing, managing clinical trials, and/or QA/QI.
