Tenure Track Faculty Position Biomedical Engineering at NJIT
The Biomedical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering of the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites faculty applications in the area of Robotics-Rehabilitation. The position will be at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor, with an expected start date of September 1, 2018.
The desired research expertise is in the broad area of biorobotics for biomedical applications, and may include the areas of rehabilitation engineering, orthopedic biomechanics, computational biomechanics, virtual reality, image analysis, and sensory-motor control. Experimental as well as computational expertise is welcome. We seek highly-qualified candidates with a doctoral degree in Biomedical, Mechanical or other relevant field. The successful candidate should have a proven track record of research accomplishments, the ability to lead teams to high quality scholarly research, and stimulate faculty collaboration. He or she will have the opportunity to take a leadership role in our Center for Wearable Robots with clinical collaborations at Kessler Rehabilitation, two VA hospitals and the NJ Medical School (see, for example, http://www6.njit.edu/news/2016/2016-004.php).
