The Director of Quality Improvement establishes, advises on, and supports major quality improvement initiatives. They will lead groups within BlueWater to address quality, safety, experience and affordability aspects of clinical care and practice. They will work in collaboration with client hospitals, BlueWater senior leadership and BlueWater medical directors to strengthen and advance BlueWater's leadership in the definition and delivery of high-quality affordable care.
Essential Responsibilities: Supports BlueWater leadership in shaping direction of clinical and service quality initiatives.
Partners with leadership staff in developing strategy for emerging areas (i.e. innovation).
Uses information and recommendations from various sources to target and drive strategic clinical care improvement opportunities.
Aids leadership in identifying and managing quality standards and objectives.
Interfaces with senior management to produce timely and valuable results.
Works to design plans for data gathering and analysis, interpreting that analysis and developing action plans accordingly.
Supports the identification, development, and dissemination of clinical -best practices- throughout BlueWater using experts from throughout the organization.
Facilitates the development of BW-wide clinical care standards through the use of evidence based reviews and expert consensus.
Facilitates collaboration and information-sharing among the BlueWater sites.
Uses patient experience measures to focus quality improvement programs
Leads highly visible and complex projects to identify and resolve performance issues important to the sustainability of BlueWater.
Function as lead for specific quality initiatives when needed
Provides external representation of BlueWater on quality issues and other assigned company-wide activities.
Represents the interests of BlueWater in discussions with partners and customers.
Partners with leadership to lead and support national and interregional committees and quality initiatives.
Basic Qualifications: Experience
Minimum ten (10) relevant years of experience in Healthcare, Business Administration, Public Health Administration or related field.
Minimum five (5) years of increasingly complex leadership, project management and analytic experience involving multiple stakeholders (preferred in the area of quality improvement in a healthcare organization).
Master's degree or CPHQ preferred

Well-grounded knowledge and familiarity with the fields of quality assurance and quality management
