HealthInsight, a non-profit organization dedicated to health care quality improvement, is seeking a clinical director on a part-time basis (20 hours per week) to give clinical guidance and expertise to a project designed to provide quality improvement training to Indian Health Service (IHS) hospitals in seven states with a goal of improving the health of Native Americans and Alaska Natives served by these hospitals. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of clinical processes and policies (inpatient, outpatient and urgent care) and quality improvement methods and have the ability to coach and facilitate learning of project team members and IHS clinical practitioners. Familiarity with Joint Commission and/or Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services survey processes and previous work experience and knowledge of medical practice in IHS facilities, including federal processes, are essential. Excellent communication skills are required, both written and verbal. Qualifications include an MD, DO or APRN degree from an accredited school, licensed to practice in New Mexico and unrestricted clinical licensure; MD or DO must be board eligible and preferably board certified.
