The Research and Program Metrics Manager is responsible for managing all program evaluations processes and conducting routine analyses to inform program improvement. In addition, the Manager will manage research projects using MSFC’s longitudinal data, identifying useful research questions to explore with existing data as well as identifying ways to improve data collection instruments to support larger research goals. The Manager will also assist in maintaining the integrity of MSFC’s data, through regular upkeep of all databases and assisting in any database upgrades.
Program Evaluation and Research
Maintain the quality and reliability of multiple data management systems.
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to determine research questions to examine.
Analyze data to drive efforts leading to program improvement and effectiveness.
Work closely with development staff to clearly articulate through data analyses the outcomes achieved during specific timeframes.
Develop and implement an evaluation plan with the staff team.
Troubleshoot any problems arising from the collection or maintenance of MSFC’s data.
Obtain IRB approval for evaluations as needed and as determined by organizational priorities.
Prepare data for publication as needed.
Provide data and other information to internal stakeholders as requested.
Work with staff team to ensure timely updating and dissemination of evaluation instruments
Identify opportunities to utilize data to further constituent engagement objectives.
Database creation and maintenance
Assist in all stages of a potential database migration project, including: researching products; assessing organizational needs; and migrating data.
Maintain database(s) updates with new constituent information as made available.
Skills and Abilities:
Experience with applied program evaluation design, applied statistical analysis, and management of evaluation projects.
Utilization proficiency in SPSS.
Skilled in efficiently manage multiple tasks with accuracy and respond to changing priorities.
Ability to adapt communication appropriately for purpose and audience.
Capacity to problem-solve and oversee large projects.
Demonstrated proficiency in statistical analysis.
Coursework in statistics, program evaluations, research methods, or other related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
