The Associate Dean and Chief Academic Officer (LMU-DCOM-Knoxville) reports to the LMU-DCOM VP and Dean and directs the day-to-day activities of the clinical medicine and basic medical science departments at the location. The Associate Dean and Chief Academic Officer (LMU-DCOM-Knoxville) oversees the delivery and outcomes of the curriculum set forth by the LMU-DCOM VP and Dean and approved by the LMU President and Board of Trustees. The Associate Dean and Chief Academic Officer (LMU-DCOM-Knoxville) serves as a member of the Dean’s executive council and works closely with the senior management team on the Harrogate campus, Vice Dean, Assistant Deans, Associate Deans, faculty and staff to ensure communication, coordination and follow-through with various projects and initiatives. The Associate Dean and Chief Academic Officer (LMU-DCOM-Knoxville) will lead all internal operational aspects of the LMU-DCOM-Knoxville location, providing leadership in medical education, research, academic, and student affairs. In addition to daily leadership at the LMU-DCOM-Knoxville location, the Associate Dean and Chief Academic Officer (LMU-DCOM-Knoxville) may be asked to assume the responsibilities of the LMU-DCOM VP and Dean in the absence of the LMU-DCOM VP and Dean and will represent LMU-DCOM on behalf of the LMU-DCOM VP and Dean as needed.
