The Department of Psychology & Counseling at Alvernia University is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Counselor Education beginning August 2018. Primary responsibilities include serving as Program Coordinator and CACREP liaison, as well as teaching in the Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling program at the main campus in Reading and Philadelphia Center. Other responsibilities include working with enrollment and admissions, advising students, mentoring faculty, assuring quality, and coordinating clinical experiences. The Program Coordinator works closely with the department chair and two deans. This is a nine-month faculty contract with additional summer expectations and compensation.
We seek candidates with a doctorate in counselor education from a CACREP-accredited program as well as evidence of quality teaching experience and scholarly productivity. Licensure as a professional counselor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is expected.
