Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has a need for an Electrical Engineer based in Arlington, VA. The Electrical Engineer shall be knowledgeable and capable in the design, inspection, evaluation and commissioning of facility power systems.
Produce design documents (drawings and specification) for minor renovations and equipment replacement projects in an MEP environment. Generator experience is preferred.
Produce engineering reports involving electrical system based investigations.
Produce estimates and proposals for a variety of engineering projects.
Survey, inspect and evaluate electrical equipment and systems at various facilities.
Be familiar with federal, state and local building codes.
Be familiar with federal government agency (GSA, DOD, etc.) building standards and practices.
Work independently, with little to no oversight.
Provide electrical technical assistance for EMCOR’s facility management operations.
(Valued but not essential) Produce commissioning test plans for electrical power systems and equipment.
Must possess current Professional Engineering Licenses in MD, VA and DC, or have the ability to obtain within one (1) year. NCEES registration preferred.
Must have experience with AutoCAD MEP or Revit
10 plus years (preferred) of experience as an Electrical Engineer, working in the design of electrical, lighting and fire alarm systems.
Must have the ability travel (10%)
