Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure currently has a career opportunity for a Materials Lab Supervisor for our Salt Lake City, Utah team.
Key Responsibilities •Will supervise the day-to-day operations of the concrete / soils / asphalt and geotechnical laboratories onsite in Salt Lake City, Utah •Will supervise 2 to 4 technicians performing lab tests •Will perform, compile and review lab and field tests and reports •Must have ability to make quick decisions requiring sound judgment and experience •Must have sound knowledge of laboratory tests, field testing and inspection •Will assist the Materials Manager with schedule and coordinate Technicians and track labor hours on as needed basis
Skills / Qualifications
Required •Minimum of 5 years’ experience with construction-related laboratory operations •Ability and experience performing AMRL and CCRL proficiency sample testing •Ability and experience performing AMRL and CCRL accreditation audits •Ability and experience with managing and maintaining the AMRL and CCRL accreditation •Ability and experience directing and managing junior staff •Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task •Teamwork attitude oriented •Pleasant manner and positive experience in dealing with client is necessary •Valid driver’s license •Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
Preferred •UDOT WAQTC / TTQP LbTT, AgTT, AsTT II, EbTT, SRDTT, CSTT -minimum 5 years’ experience on construction-related projects •Experience working in, or operating, a mobile / field laboratory •Strong computer skills for database work and proficiency in MS office
Physical Demands •Ability to lift maximum 50 pounds
