The Risk Management Analyst performs full performance level work administering risk management programs, including identifying, analyzing and assessing risks, and recommending risk mitigation and financing options.
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform. •Provides insurance and risk management analytical guidance and consultation, including development and delivery of training modules. •Manages invoices and payments, and day to day activities with insurance brokers and insurers. •Ensures insurance provisions in contracts are in compliance with current insurance requirements. Consults with attorneys and contract administrators on insurance requirements. •Conducts research and makes recommendations including but not limited to: trend analysis; cost and benefit analysis; policies and procedures; record maintenance. •Obtains, develops and maintains all risk and exposure information for insurance purposes. •Analyzes and presents information related to insurance solutions and risk. •Facilitates claims, analyzes and evaluates trending data and recommends strategies. •Leads and manages varied project assignments (ex. business process risk analysis). •Serves on cross functional projects and coordinates teams. •Updates and maintains department policy manuals, drafts new segments as changes occur. •Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
•Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field. •Experience: Two years of professional experience in insurance and risk management or 2 years of analytical experience with emphasis or increasing responsibility for statistical and project management work. •Equivalency: Professional experience, beyond requirements, in a related field may substitute for a Bachelor degree requirement on a year for year basis. •Licensure: Valid Driver's License
