College / University
Postdoctoral position to image and record network activity in the cerebral cortex of behaving mice using state-of-the-art equipment including 2-photon imaging, mesoscope (widefield 2-photon imaging), and widefield imaging. Candidates well versed in systems neuroscience methods and data analysis are particularly desirable.
My laboratory examines the mechanisms of state-dependent behavior, including the activity and role of neuromodulatory systems in the behaving animal. We have a team of well supported, independent, but collaborative postdoctoral fellows and graduate students working towards understanding how the brain performs perception-action cycles in a state-dependent manner.
The Institute of Neuroscience at the University of Oregon is a wonderful place to perform top-quality science in a beautiful setting while achieving work-life balance.
Ph.D. in Neuroscience and related fields. Experience with either electrophysiology or 2-P or widefield imaging and data analysis.
