Wood is currently seeking a Construction Manager experienced in a variety of design-build and design-bid-build construction projects. Responsibilities will include Hands on construction management of self-perform personnel and subcontractors, submittal preparation and reviews, work plan reviews, daily / weekly / monthly production and reporting, safety management and leadership, and other tasks as required to support the Project.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and manage interface points of overlapping subcontracts
Understand and manage construction sequencing to maintain schedule or regain lost time
Ability to motivate and lead personnel and subcontractors to successful completion of project
Manage direct hire personnel and subcontractors adherence to the plans and specifications, as well as all relevant project plans including the Project Health and Safety Plan
Oversee Direct hire and subcontractor’s adherence to quality standards, scheduling, and the project budget
Prepare daily and weekly construction production reports as required
Assist the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) with daily safety tail gate briefings and onsite safety monitoring
Maintain a job diary that provides an orderly and complete history of the work
Provide Reports that are concise and all-inclusive or the work on a monthly, weekly, and / or daily basis as required
If required, Interface with on-site client and their support contractor(s) to coordinate timing of site visits and field activities
Utilize project management systems to update and manage project budgets, commitments, expenditures and forecasts
Work with Field Project Scheduler to report status of schedule and plan for future activities
Present a positive and enthusiastic attitude at all times
15 + years of experience working on construction projects including civil heavy /civil structural, infrastructure, mechanical and vertical construction (buildings and architectural)
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering. Relevant experience instead of degree will be considered
Experience with Primavera P6, scheduling techniques, time impact studies, change orders and claims is a plus
Strong work ethic, team player, self-motivated
