Job Description Our Core Technology organization works with all our divisions to conceptualize, develop and produce fluoropolymer intermediates and composites for incorporation into Gore Products. We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team in Elkton, MD.

The successful candidate will be part of a highly energized and diverse global team practicing technical excellence and driving deep understanding, as well as maintaining a broad capability to commercialize new technologies. You will be working in a team focused on supporting growing needs related to Medical Device and PharmBio markets.

Assuring product quality across the supply chain by evaluating non-conforming material, identifying and resolving quality issues, and reviewing proposed process/product changes
Partnering with NPD, PE, and divisional partners to understand material fitness-for-use requirements and develop specifications based on measurable quality attributes
Driving risk-based decision making based on deep technical and historical knowledge
Identifying and monitoring key product performance measures and driving improvement
Planning and conducting product and test methods validations
Designing, executing, and analyzing experiments based on statistical techniques
Managing complex multi-functional and multi-regional projects
Documenting work via reports, technology notebooks, and the quality system
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality, process, product, or manufacturing engineering
Ability to network and interact effectively with a broad range of associates including global teams and global customers.
Demonstrated: * Experience with hands-on product, test method, process or equipment validations
Strong track record of effective risk-based decision making
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to: * Apply engineering fundamentals and statistical analysis to trending, improvements, and troubleshooting
Initiate, prioritize and drive projects to completion
Influence team priorities, direction and/or resolve conflicts in alignment with business needs
Build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships
Ability to travel ~10% (domestic or internationally) Desired Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science
Previous experience working with technically driven product development and manufacturing
Experience working on global teams
Experience working in a regulated environment
Familiarity with quality system standards, ISO 9001 & ISO 13485
