The Manager of Risk Management oversees the strategic development, successful implementation and overall administration of the organization’s comprehensive risk management program and initiatives in this highly visible role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Development and effective implementation of risk management strategy through the use of innovative tools to communicate and educate policyholders, including travel to designated events, seminars and conventions.
Analyze claims and loss history for critical trends or indications of patterns in order to focus resources and develop risk control strategies for the Company.
Manage, coach and develop risk management staff.
Develop and present risk management curriculum, lectures and author articles for PICA and OUM publications addressing pertinent on pertinent or developing trends.
Responsible for communication with the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME) and the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards Providers of Approved Continuing Education (PACE) on all matters related to the application, approval and ensuring compliance with CPME and PACE standards and requirements.
Clinical background with appropriate designation (i.e., RN) or bachelor’s degree in risk management or related field
Minimum of seven years’ experience in clinical risk management with a minimum of two years of management experience
Risk Management certification (i.e. ARM, CPHRM) or similar educational requirements preferred
Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, GoToWebinar, WebEx
Ability to plan strategically and manage multiple priorities
