The Sr. Risk Management Consultant provides knowledgeable and experienced professional consultation and education to our insured clients in implementing and maintaining a comprehensive risk management program. The primary consulting goal will be the prevention and/or control of professional liability risks and promotion of proactive risk reduction strategies. The Sr. Risk Management Consultant is able to speak at local client facilities and regularly write/develop risk management and patient safety materials.
The Sr. Risk Management Consultant is responsible for various duties associated with reducing claim frequency and severity through modification of the behaviors and practices of the insureds and their respective employees. The Sr. Risk Management Consultant will also provide risk analysis to assist the Underwriters in evaluating risk for prospective and existing accounts.
Baccalaureate in Nursing with three years’ experience in healthcare risk management including hospital setting or professional liability carrier.
Current knowledge of healthcare industry and applicable rules and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Excellent presentation skills. Experience in speaking to health care audiences.
Self-directed with good organizational and project management skills.
Good technical writing skills.
Willing to travel up to 50% (both within and outside Arizona).
