The Senior Director of Quality and Safety is accountable for the implementation of strategic planning, program development, and operations for clinical quality and safety programs and initiatives that support patient populations/service lines throughout Hartford HealthCare in collaboration with/under the direction of the Vice President of Quality and Safety.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a seasoned quality leader with experience working within a multi-hospital health system and a highly performing quality team with a demonstrated track record in quality/safety improvement and patient satisfaction.
The successful candidate will display a passion and commitment to outstanding patient care and quality improvement. This individual will have experience as a collaborative leader for performance excellence and quality improvement and will have an ability to work well with nursing teams and medical staff to accomplish key goals.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related clinical field.
5 years of quality leadership; 15 years of clinical experience.
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS).
Masters related field, preferred.
RN License preferred.
A working and applied knowledge of performance improvement methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma is required.
Knowledge of data and statistics, key metrics, and data extraction.
