JOB OBJECTIVES: The Research Program Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of activities ongoing within or in collaboration with the Research Institute.
The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support and monitor regulatory and grants submission requirements.
Perform / coordinate grant application duties, including the development and submission of accurate proposal budgets and compliant proposal materials by interpreting all relevant organization guidelines.
Manage program budgets, including internal and external funding.
Assist with the coordination of research projects as needed within the Research Institute, as well as with faculty and students.
Organize research related meetings, site visits, and special events.
Oversee outreach activities, including inter-institutional and community events.
Develop program materials including website and educational promotional pieces.
Prepare and distribute updated reports reflecting research in progress, presentation, and publications, within the University for program stakeholders.
Participate in appropriate committees (internal and external) for the advancement of the program and profession.
Maintain timeline with deliverables identified for all Research Institute programs.
Assure compliance with regulatory and institutional policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Administrative Responsibilities
Oversee the student researchwork study program:
Solicit and interview students for open positions; and
Complete all necessary paperwork required for hiring students;
Supervise student’s including their schedules, projects, and approved hours
Assist with submissions of abstracts and manuscripts for publication or presentation.
Process reimbursements for subscriptions, renewals, registration fees, reimbursements, travel advances, etc.
Order supplies and catering services for all research personnel.
Report and coordinate the resolution to all maintenance, computer, telephone, security and housekeeping issues.
Perform clerical duties as needed including recording and transcribing minutes, word-processing, data entry, prepare correspondence, proofing, photo coping, travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, filing, etc.
EDUCATION/EXPERTISE: Work requires communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a MA / MS degree program in leadership, public health, health management, or related field and research compliance certification is required. 5+ years of experience with administration preferred.

Travel is required as necessary and appropriate.
