The Manager of Quality supports the Quality Programs for both Overlake Hospital and Clinics. Identifies opportunities for improvement and integrates project management and improvement methods to facilitate and influence sustainable clinical performance improvements. Creates and manages complex analysis of clinical data for use in data driven improvements. Provides oversight for department staff and ensures accurate reporting of quality outcomes to appropriate registry as required.
Working with the Director of Quality, plan and integrate functions and services to support Overlake's goals and priorities.
Build effective working relationships throughout the organization with managers, staff, physicians, customers and suppliers.
Identify opportunities for improvement based on evidence based practices, regulatory and accrediting agency requirements, and current performance in key clinical outcomes.
Integrate project management and process improvement methodologies to facilitate and influence sustainable clinical performance improvements.
Under the direction of the Director of Quality, provide hospital-wide leadership for the accreditation and regulatory program. Oversee the planning, organizing and managing activities and programs related to quality initiatives and regulatory readiness. Work collaboratively with Patient Safety to investigate significant and seminal events and coordinate the root cause analysis process.

Bachelors Degree required. Master’s level education or course work preferred. RN strongly preferred.
If applicable, must maintain license as appropriate to profession. Certification in quality improvement preferred. (Certification for Quality may be Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Certified Quality Professional.)
Minimum of five years directly related work experience required. Previous three years leadership or supervisory experience also required, with three years of previous management experience strongly desired. Joint Commission and CMS Survey experience preferred.
Ability to utilize Microsoft programs, Epic preferred. Experience with Tableau, SQL, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, and other applications and databases desired. Demonstrated analytical and statistical ability to evaluate data, make judgments and recommendations regarding quality and process improvement work, including, but not limited to resource utilization, physician practice patterns and clinical pathway effectiveness. Knowledge of and experience with improvement methods and project management methodologies. Public speaking and presentation skills required. Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
