We are currently seeking a Quality Management Coordinator for our Augusta, Georgia office.

The Department of Correctional Healthcare (Georgia Correctional Healthcare) is the division of Augusta University that provides high quality healthcare to over 60 Georgia Department of Correction facilities statewide. Participates in strategic and operational planning at senior level to ensure quality care. Integrates the principles and values of continuous quality improvement (CQI)
Ensure that CQI efforts comply with regulatory and accreditation standards
Coordinates improvement activities for successful accrediting, licensing and certification surveys
Meets requirements related to utilization management and risk management
Consults with clinicians, administrators, and the GCHC CQI committee on CQI activities such as chart reviews and accurate and complete documentation and coding, providing technical support and staff education as necessary
Assists with audits of medical staff for compliance with policies and procedures and with regulatory and accreditation requirements
Ensures the gathering and analysis of QI data from each GCHC facility and converts the data into statistics for analysis. Provides feedback in person and via reports to senior management on trends and needed corrective actions.
Identifies QI opportunities, recognizes QI achievements and recommends QI plan for the next year
Mines healthcare data as requested and compiles reports as appropriate
Develops dashboards, compiles monthly and quarterly reports
Serves as the back up in the absence of the Administrative Assistant to the VP for Correctional Healthcare
Leads or participates in other GCHC-related projects as requested
Travel as required

Who We Are:
Georgia Correctional Healthcare (GCHC) was established in 1997 through a unique collaboration between the University and the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) with the goal of delivering high quality health care to the state's offender population while controlling the skyrocketing costs.
During the summer of 2017 GCHC expanded its role, taking on the healthcare management responsibilities of the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) in addition to the adult population with the GDC.
