The Risk Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of Risk Management activities. Oversees Patient Complaints and Grievances Process. Management of hospital insurance policies and related activities. Coordinate internally and with insurance carrier activities necessary for the investigation and defense of all claims and lawsuits. Risk Management education and consultation for staff across the organization.
Licensure and Certification:
Current CA RN license preferred
CPHRM certification preferred
Bachelors in nursing or related field preferred
Minimum 2 years experience in risk management, performance improvement and patient representation
Knowledge and Skills:
Excel and MediTech
Experience in negotiations and patient relations
Maintains positive and proactive communication with patients, families, staff members, and physicians.
Fosters team-building relationships. Excellent organizational skills, time management and the ability to problem solve are essential.
