The University of Washington (UW) is recruiting for a full-time (12 months appointment) Assistant or Associate Professor (without tenure due to funding, commensurate with experience) on the Clinician/Teacher pathway in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, Department of Medicine. The successful candidate will have clinical responsibilities on both inpatient and outpatient services, and leadership skills needed to be the Medical Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit. This position will be based at Harborview Medical Center.

Anticipated start date would be July 2019.
Requirements include an MD, DO (or foreign equivalent) and Board Eligibility or Certification (or foreign equivalent) in both Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. To be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Demonstrated experience with or willingness to learn the latest diagnostic technologies, such as endo-bronchial ultrasound and navigational bronchoscopy, is required. A competitive applicant will have a clinical and academic interest in management and quality improvement in intensive care units.
