The OSUCCC-- James is the only cancer program in the United States that features a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center aligned with a nationally ranked academic medical center and a freestanding cancer hospital on the campus of one of the nation's largest public universities.
Serves as an Outreach Coordinator for national collaborative clinical trials supporting the Beat AML master trial in the Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC); actively participates in and collaborates with Research Site Manager with development, implementation and monitoring of collaborations, communications and education of research institutions and organizations nationwide participating in multi-institutional clinical research projects within the CCC; oversees, coordinates, and provides instruction and guidance to research teams at external institutions outside of OSU to ensure flow, communication and activation and adherence to multi-site clinical protocols; participates in the vetting and approval process for potential external participating sites; works with external site regulatory staff to answer questions, review research and regulatory documents and facilitate external site approval for clinical trials documents through appropriate designated groups; reviews and queries external site documentation of visits and care of patients to ensure accurate and timely submission of data and to ensure compliance with the protocol and regulatory requirements; reviews and queries external site grading of toxicities to ensure sites are completely and accurately reporting toxicity; provides direction to external site research teams to facilitate appropriate management of patient reaction to any modifications or treatment that are part of protocol; reviews and queries external institutions on reports of all Serious Adverse Events and protocol deviations; reviews and assists with submission of external site reports; reviews and revises protocol documents to ensure appropriate instruction and reference information is included for multi-institution trial management; participates in overseeing close-out activity upon study termination; This position will require intermittent weekend and evening on-call availability.

Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, nursing or allied medical profession, or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required; progressively responsible clinical research management experience required, experience with multi-institutional studies desired; previous experience as a clinical research coordinator highly desired; SoCRA (Society of Clinical Research Associates) or ACRP (Association of Clinical Research Professionals) certification desired.
