The American Psychiatric Nurses Association is seeking a Full-time Senior Nurse Educator for our expanding education team. The APNA Senior Nurse Educator embodies characteristics of high-level performance related to both Professional Development and Nursing Education.
Candidate will communicate with volunteers and work with educational projects as assigned. This position requires 40 hours/week at the APNA National Office in Falls Church, VA. Candidate must function well in a fast-paced environment.
The APNA Senior Nurse Educator:
Takes the lead in establishing, managing and evaluating continuing education programs and activities in collaboration with other members of APNA staff.
Holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education
Has strong communication skills: written and verbal
Demonstrates accurate working knowledge of the ANCC or ACCME continuing education process
Participates in ongoing assessment and evaluation of nursing education activities and contributes to revisions and updates based on most current accreditation requirements
Maintains the quality of APNA programming to meet current standards of excellence
Communicates with members/volunteers and acts as a resource within APNA for accredited educational projects
