The Research Office of Neurological Associates of Albany (NAA) is seeking research coordinators with significant experience in clinical trials. The position offers the opportunity to work in a professional patient - centered environment with a focus on Alzheimer's disease and Memory Disorders - Human Research.
You will be working with a Principal Investigator that has conducted over 120 clinical trials for the past 32 years in Albany NY.
The site has been recognized by the Global Alzheimer's Platform Foundation in 2017( GAP) and was selected to be a full member. GAP and NAA share the common goal of finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease in our lifetime.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements Summary:
Excellent customer management skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills - must be able to work independently and a self starter
Ability to collaborate with the other research team in a collegial manner
Maintain accurate, timely study records in an organized and methodical manner with sharp attention to detail
Perform MMSE's and other tests when needed
Handle any testing required by the study, including labs and etc.
Create source documents and understand the importance of Informed consent
Ability to work collaboratively with the PI who is directly involved with subjects
Complete all study required forms and have a better clear understanding of regulatory requirements of studies, timely billing processing, and time sensitivities of study protocols outlined in Good Clinical Practice in Research
Overall the candidates we are seeking will clearly understand their significant role in subject recruitment, understanding of protocols for studies and managing the subjects/families and caregivers through the research continuum under the direction of the PI.
Other duties as required to ensure the quality, safety and progressive/efficient functioning of the Research Office
The position is salaried/Professional/Exempt and incumbent works the day shift
A minimum of 3 years as a clinical research coordinator in human research
A Baccalaureate degree is preferred however other relevant combinations of education and job experience may be considered
Candidates must provide an up- to- date resume and salary requirement
Candidates must reside and/or imminently be willing to relocate to Albany NY as this is not a telecomm- uniting role
Certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator is preferred but not required

For over 30 years, NAA has offered personalized service through Clinical Trials and neurological services for individuals dealing with the challenges of Dementia, Alzheimer's disease and other memory disorders. NAA's clinical research team is available for consultations and cognitive testing offered at no charge. Dr. Richard Holub is the President and Director of NAA. The clinical arm of NAA currently has a panel of over 5,000 patients and provides comprehensive Neurological services to over 2,500 patients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, Mild Cognitive Impairment or other forms of dementia.
Dr. Holub has been conducting Phase II and Phase III clinical trials for more than 30 years. He conducted over 120 successful clinical trials and that research work played a significant role in the investigation of all 5 drugs currently approved by the FDA for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
The Research and Clinical Divisions encompasses over 6,500 square feet of space and has experienced ...certified clinical research coordinators, nurses, psychomatricians, physician assistants, a second neurologist and primary care physician. The office has a fully functioning lab, an infusion suite, exam rooms and testing rooms. NAA also has long standing professional relationships with a number of local imaging centers and other specialists allowing for on going care and referral for care typically part of standard clinical trials and neurological care.
