The Quality Engineer is a new role that will provide leadership to support company objectives for growth in the Medical industry. This position will be on the front line of quality innovation at our Plymouth location. This position will work closely with Design, Tooling and Process Engineering as well as Process Technicians and Operators with many opportunities for “hands on” work.
On-site support for Infinity QS
Lead ISO 13485:2016 certification project
Provide corrective action leadership and root cause analysis verification for external, internal and system corrective actions.
Lead qualification and validation activities from protocol creation, through execution, to report submittal
Continuous improvement projects with a goal to become six-sigma certified.
Lead customer audits
Serve and the primary back-up for Quality Manager as Management Representative
Facilitate compliance with our business standards by working with all departments regarding work instructions, procedures, documentation control, and training records
Provide support for new product development and tool design/build including product specifications development, prevention planning PFMEA and DFMEA and leading statistical studies with executive summaries
Develop and implement improved systems for measuring and monitoring of product quality
Provide technical expertise in a project leadership or facilitation role within the Quality Team or cross-function teams
Support Quality Technician function
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
Two years experience in quality or process engineering in a manufacturing environment that used FMEA’s, Gauge R&R, Statistical Analysis, DOE and APQP/PPAP methodology.
Two years experience in ISO standards
Six Sigma Infintity QS
ISO 13485 Experience
This position is located in Plymouth, MN. Placon also has manufacturing operations in Madison, WI; Elkhart, IN; and West Springfield, MA
