Oversee/perform laboratory testing and reporting for all soils, concrete, grout, mortar, and masonry block in accordance with approved plans and specifications for each assigned project. Oversee/peer review all lab work performed by technicians. Must be completely familiar with all procedures and test methods. Responsible for reviewing test results and routing to proper management for approval and/or peer review.
Ability to refer, interpret and implement ASTM, CBC, Caltrans and ASHTO code and procedure manuals for proper test results. Oversee CCRL requirements to maintain current approved standards, and DSA requirements to maintain LEA certification for assigned lab. Review and report test results for nuclear density, compaction, compression, and other miscellaneous testing reports as needed.
Support MTSI Department by coordinating, organizing, updating, repairing and/or calibrating all laboratory and field equipment. Maintenance of equipment logs for repairs, maintenance, and calibrations. Organize and order supplies as needed.
Maintain and submit all documentation needed for billing review processing. Report any dangerous conditions, faulty equipment, dishonest, unethical, abusive or illegal behavior to your direct supervisor or senior management.
Project management and preparing cost estimates.
Three or more years of industry related work experience, with a current nuclear density gauge safety and ACI Testing Certificate required.
