Mineola, LI, NY. NYU Winthrop Hospital seeks a faculty physician for our well-established and growing palliative care program in the Division of Palliative Medicine and Bioethics. Our interdisciplinary team is comprised of palliative Board-certified physicians, specialty-certified nurse practitioners and specialty-certified social workers, and is responsible for 1500 inpatient consultations annually. The Division is also responsible for a rapidly growing ambulatory palliative practice that includes the institution’s Supportive Oncology and Supportive Pulmonary, and Supportive Cardiology Programs. Principal responsibilities for this position include providing palliative medicine consultation to clinically diverse populations in inpatient and outpatient settings and program development to further integrate palliative care throughout the organization. Additional core responsibilities include a faculty role in our ACGME accredited fellowship program in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, teaching in the new NYU-Long Island School of Medicine, teaching in GME and CME programs, and productivity in scholarship. The successful candidate will be BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and will join large and growing full-time faculty in NYU-Winthrop’s Department of Medicine.
