FAU's Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine invites applications for the position of Chair of the Department of Integrated Medical Science and Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs. Reporting to the Dean, the Chair and Senior Associate Dean will serve as a key member of the Dean's executive leadership team, and as an advocate for the College, advancing its local, national, and international reputation and visibility.
As Chair of the Department of Integrated Medical Science, this individual will set the standards of intellectual engagement and accomplishment for the department. The Chair will provide strategic leadership and vision to achieve excellence in clinical practice, teaching, research and scholarship, as well as service. The Chair will also be responsible for budget development and administration, resource management, and for the development of new resources.
As Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, this individual will help develop and provide oversight of FAU's clinical faculty practice and assist in the management of hospital and practice partnerships. In this role, the Senior Associate Dean will provide oversight for FAU Medicine, the umbrella organization for the College's 3 clinical practice sites, including its new primary care practice, internal medicine residency clinic, and the Comprehensive Center for Brain Health. The Senior Associate Dean will also be charged with leading the continued successful implementation of the Clinical Practice Goals and Initiatives in the College's 2018-2022 Strategic Plan.

MD or MD/PhD from an accredited institution with credentials that merit appointment as full professor in the College of Medicine;
Distinguished record in clinical care, clinical research and education
Proven record of broad, progressive and substantive administrative leadership
Experience in fostering programs to recruit and retain a diverse faculty and staff, including women and groups often underrepresented in medicine
Experience in building a faculty clinical practice and managing hospital partnerships
Clinical trials leadership and experience with or appreciation of, learning health systems
Experience in building diverse and inclusive teams
Record of innovative new program development leadership
