The Risk Manager receives, investigates, and analyzes risk management inquiries from staff, patients and families and provides prompt follow up. Manages sentinel events and serious adverse events and conducts root cause analyses. Provides leadership and takes initiative for implementation of Risk Management programs and risk mitigation strategies. Responsible for identifying and analyzing risk issues and for collaborating with department leadership to assure implementation of processes designed to improve patient safety and reduce the probability of adverse events including the severity and impact of losses once they occur. Manages responses to litigation interrogatories and requests for production of documents at the entity level collaborating with defense counsel and VP of Risk and Claims Management. Provides guidance to Patient Experience Coordinator.
