As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by: • Providing advanced subject matter expertise in support of operations and business develop for the Federal Service Unit of CDM Smith with a focus on Federal government contracting (ie, FAR understanding and interpretations) • Reviewing solicitations, contracts, non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements including protective orders, teaming, property access, license agreements; draft agreements associated with federal procurements and contracts • Developing and improving systematic processes designed to identify risk in proposals and contract awards • Cross functional coordination with legal counsel, business development, program management, finance and pricing in support of full acquisition life-cycle operations • Working closely with in-house attorneys on issues associated with language in agreements, protests, claims, conflict of interest issues or mitigation plans, insurance incidents and notices of violation • Reviewing proposed joint venture and LLC operating agreements, as well as team agreements, non-disclosure documents and other key contractual arrangements • Manage and provide guidance to a team of contracts and procurement professionals • Coordinate with federal procurement manager on policies and procedures; advise on procurement operational issues • Assisting project staff with mentor-protégé agreements and with respect to agency requirements • Providing oversight of security requirements including FOCI, facilities clearance and other government security requirements • Reviewing Federal Register and various legal, professional and government contracts newsletters to provide essential analysis regarding new regulations and requirements affecting government contracts
Minimum Qualifications :
• Minimum of 10 years progressively responsible experience in appropriate field such as finance, contract administration and management and/or procurement and 5 years of staff management experience • Bachelor's degree in finance, business or related field

• This position will focus on contracts • Master’s degree • 10+ years administering and managing all types of federal government contracts and staff • Thorough knowledge of the FAR and related agency regulations • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Experience working with senior management on contract, legal, and compliance issues • Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse workload and work force with a commitment to continuous process improvement • Knowledge of government security requirements • NCMA Contracts Manager certificate • Government Contracting officer experience
