A long established & well-respected engineering and environmental consulting company seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer that will be focused on Mine Tailings.

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will work on geotechnical engineering projects for mine tailings storage facilities involving traditional geotechnical and civil analysis and design related to shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, seepage, bearing capacity, settlement, earth retention, and dams. The work includes performing geotechnical computer modeling; specifying and interpreting soil and rock investigations, including drilling and cone penetrometer testing; overseeing on-site and in-laboratory material testing; and installing instrumentation. Project work also involves preparing plans and specifications, reports, and cost estimates. In addition, business development, project management, mentoring and coaching, project planning and scheduling, and workload estimating are part of this role. It requires periodic out-of-town assignments.
MUST HAVE minimum BS Degree in Civil Engineering (MSCE preferred).
MUST HAVE 10 + years experience in Geotechnical Engineering experience.
