Department of Emergency Medicine at the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth
The Department of Emergency Medicine at the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) is seeking physicians to staff the Pediatric Emergency Rooms at Memorial Hermann’s Sugar Land and Memorial City Hospitals. The candidate must be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or in Pediatrics with at least one years’ experience working in pediatric emergency medicine.
The staff physician's duties include, direct delivery of medical care, working in concert with other members of a multidisciplinary treatment team, including consultants, when necessary, and participation in the quality assurance activities of the department. The staff physician reports to the medical director, but is expected to practice independently. The candidate must be able to practice high-quality, evidence-based medicine in a manner that supports the needs of the child and her/his family.
