Position: Speech-Language Pathologist – leave replacement (May – August 2019)
Reports to: Speech Supervisor
Start Date: As soon as possible
St. Francis de Sales School for the Deaf in Brooklyn seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for a three-month leave replacement to provide speech-language services in accordance with each students IEP.
Manage an individual caseload of students that you will work with either individually, in the classroom, or with other therapists.
Make sure you are prepared and organized by reviewing IEP’s, medical documents, and goals for the students.
You will be responsible for writing progress reports, and notes at the end of each of your sessions.
In preparation for annual IEP’s, you will interview family members, observe your students in other therapy sessions, directly assess your students, and write a thorough report with suggestions for classroom adaptations and goals for the following school year.
Utilize available resources to best meet the needs of the students.
