The director of the Center for Perinatal Research in the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital is responsible for the long-term strategy and day-to-day scientific operation of the center and will work in close partnership with the division chief of Neonatology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She/he will serve as the institute’s liaison to the perinatal research and health care community regionally, nationally and internationally to maximize the number of opportunities created by alignment of sophisticated research strategies with the world-class clinical care at Nationwide Children’s.
Building on a solid, well-established foundation, he/she will amplify the center’s clinical and academic strengths and promote Nationwide Children’s state-of-the-art research and pediatric care enterprise. The director will seek out opportunities to incorporate breakthrough scientific discoveries and academic achievements into translational research and education for the benefit of children and their families worldwide.
