Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is seeking a Biomedical Technician I to join our team. The Biomedical Technician I is responsible for maintenance and technical support functions for medical and scientific instrumentation, and to the users of this instrumentation.
Requirements: • Two years of occupationally specific education, or an associate degree in biomedical engineering or a closely related field and less than six months of previous experience. • No license, certification or registration required. • Analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles. • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations. • Required Physical, Mental, and Visual Abilities • Occasional reaching and grasping objects. • Occasional use of keyboards to interact with computer system. • Proofreading and/or reviewing documents.
