Huitt-Zollars' Seattle, Washington Office has a full-time Transportation Project Manager opportunity. The successful candidate will be a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Washington with experience managing transportation projects. This role includes marketing, business development, client management, and project management for transportation agencies in the Seattle, WA Region, and has opportunities to work on transportation projects for other offices. Conduct Business development efforts for transportation and public works clients including WSDOT, Seattle DOT, SEATAC (Port of Seattle), local public works departments and some involvement with transit agencies (Sound Transit, Pierce Transit and King County Metro).
Serve as Project Manager for transportation projects involving roadway, bridge, bus rapid transit, and/or aviation. Develop, oversee, and monitor project activities including scope, budget, and schedule management.
Recruit mentor and management supporting staff for transportation projects.
Participate in engineering organizations (e.g., ACEC, ASCE and AASHTO).
Support companywide transportation initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's Degree preferred).
Professional Engineer registered in state of Washington or ability to obtain license.
Minimum 15 years engineering design experience with 5-10 years transportation project management experience.
Experience and relationships with WSDOT and other Seattle region transportation agencies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management scheduling and financial tools
Proficient in MicroStation and Project Wise preferred.
Excellent organizational, verbal and written communications skills.
