The Laksari Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Arizona is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate to work on translational projects at the intersection of biomechanics and traumatic brain injury. We aim to use a combination of animal modeling, imaging and computational simulations to better understand the mechanisms of injury and to develop diagnostic and interventional approaches.
An important component of this position will be to work as part of an interdisciplinary team spanning engineering, neuroscience, and the medical school. The successful candidate will be required to lead independent research projects, work closely with our medical collaborators, mentor students, and publish high-quality research each year. The position is available to start immediately, initially for 12 months with possibility of renewal for up to three years.
Interested applicants can send their application materials (cover letter, CV, names and contact information of three references, link to your personal website, copies of three relevant scientific publications) to Dr. Kaveh Laksari at email@example.com. More information can be found at engr.arizona.edu/~klaksari.
