Quality Informatics Specialist (Full Time)
Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center has an excellent opportunity now available for a Quality Informatics Specialist. The purpose of this position is collaborate with, and provide support for, the Quality team and Director of Health Information Management, while performing informatics and other HER functions with emphasis on the following areas:
To enhance the quality of care and safety of the children at the Children’s Center through assuring that the design of systems present timely and accurate data in compliance with Children’s Center policies and procedures and long term care (LTC) regulations including MDS;
To collaborate with the Quality Systems Analyst and other members of the Quality team on projects and training initiatives involving the EHR and other software; and
To analyze and present data in a meaningful way to assist senior management in critical decision making and ensure that ESCC stays current with the latest trends in healthcare data management, user and resident data security, and HIPAA.
Bachelor’s degree with Master’s degree preferred in relevant field.
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience, pediatric preferred.
Working knowledge of Long Term Care electronic health record systems and related Analysis.
Knowledge of long term care regulations.
Working knowledge of data analysis and trending, problem identification, presentation of statistics, formation of action plans and evaluation of outcomes.
Demonstrates excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Office).
