Morehead State University, recognized as one of the top public universities in the South by U.S. News & World Report, invites applications for a non-tenure-track position as Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering and Technology Management to teach Construction Management and Civil Engineering Technology courses.
Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of construction methods and materials, structural analysis, estimating, surveying, hydrology, civil drafting, and architectural design. Other responsibilities include advising students, participating in departmental and university service; and developing technical laboratories.
Qualifications: Doctorate in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Technology Management, or closely related discipline required. ABD's with completion by December 2019 may be considered. Excellent teaching skills are required. Curriculum development, computer and multimedia skills required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Desired Qualifications: Industrial experience and/or professional licenses/certification preferred. Professional licenses/certifications and experience in teaching courses via distance learning technology desired. Teaching experience in a higher education environment.
