Cook Children's Health Care System, based in Fort Worth, Texas, is pleased to announce a partnership with WittKieffer for the recruitment of a passionate and collaborative leader to serve as Vice President, Patient and Family Experience. This is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership in a pediatric integrated delivery system that is highly regarded for its patient and family-centered care, operating excellence, financial performance and outstanding leadership team.
CCHCS is a $1.9 billion integrated child health system with more than 60 primary, specialty and urgent care locations throughout Texas. Its flagship Cook Children's Medical Center is a nationally-recognized and Magnet-designated hospital with 445 licensed beds providing state-of-the-art technology to more than 30 specialties and subspecialties. Together with a large physician network with over 450 employed physicians, a home health company providing quality, patient-centered care in the comfort of home, and a health plan with over 135,000 members, CCHCS is one of the largest integrated pediatric delivery systems in the country. Adding to its strong reputation for quality and service, CCHCS has a respectful, caring culture with dedicated employees passionate about children's health. It is therefore important that the selected candidate bring a demonstrated ability to influence others through strong relationships built on mutual respect and trust.
CCHCS continually receives recognition for outstanding efforts and outcomes in pediatric health care and has earned a strong, far-reaching reputation with patients traveling from around the country and the globe to receive life-saving pediatric care. Among its many awards and recognitions, CCHCS was ranked in five out of 10 specialties in U.S. News and World Report's list of Best Children's Hospitals for 2018-2019, including Cardiology/Heart Surgery, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Cancer and Diabetes/Endocrinology. Locally, The Dallas Morning News has ranked CCHCS as the top health care employer in the DFW Metroplex; CCHCS is one of only four employers to have received this honor for eight or more straight years.
The Vice President, Patient and Family Experience position has been created as part of a broader deployment of the Cook Children's Experience, the key components of which are Team Experience, Patient and Family Experience and Quality and Safety Experience. The commitment at CCHCS is to “Elevate Every Experience” and lead peers in overall performance. The Vice President will be relationship-oriented, possess excellent listening and communication skills and demonstrate a strong passion for children’s healthcare. The candidate will bring a comprehensive approach to patient and family experience that can implemented across CCHCS, with the unique opportunity to pilot initiatives at the emerging campuses at Prosper and Walsh Ranch as CCHCS looks to expand its footprint in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of achieving benchmark results as measured by experience, engagement and safety metrics.
