Reporting to the Director of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program, the DMS Clinical Coordinator/Faculty competently, compassionately and professionally participates in training competent entry-level Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in the various learning domains required for professional practice. The Clinical Coordinator/Faculty provides quality learning opportunities that assist students in meeting their educational goals and career aspirations in the Diagnostic Medical Sonographers program. This individual has responsibility for selecting and approving appropriate clinical sites, providing orientation for the on-site supervisors, providing oversight of the clinical experience, supervision and on-site evaluation of students and clinical instructors in clinical settings and the clinical affiliate site. Faculty member responsibilities include teaching, curriculum development, advising, professional development, and community relations.
Clinical Coordinator/Faculty(s)must possess, at a minimum, the following:
An Associate or higher level degree and
All 3 of these registries: Adult Echocardiography, Abdomen, and Obstetrics and Gynecology
