The City of Pasco’s Engineering Division has recently reorganized into two divisions. A Capital Improvement Program Engineering Division (Public Works Department) and a Development Review/Long Range Planning Engineering Division (Community and Economic Development). This position is for the Capital Improvement Program Engineering Division under the Public Works Department. This position will report to the Public Works Director.
DUTIES: Under the general direction of the Public Works Director, plan, organize, oversee, coordinate and review the work of assigned engineering, technical, and administrative support staff associated with capital programs and projects including; transportation systems, services and activities; municipal utilities such as water, sewer, storm water, irrigation, municipal and industrial treatment plants; provide engineering support to all City departments as assigned; manage the effective use of resources to improve organizational efficiency, effectiveness and customer service; perform responsible and professional complex engineering in the design and/or construction of engineering projects, services and programs.
REQUIREMENTS: (Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job.):
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
Five (5) years’ experience as a professional engineer in project design, management and construction contract administration in a municipal environment.
Two years of progressively responsible engineering management and project management experience.
Valid Washington State driver license.
Registered Professional Engineer of Washington (PE).
SALARY: Up to $10,450/monthly; DOQ and knowledge, skills and abilities.
