Supports the conduct of research studies, research projects and related administrative tasks, under supervision. Performs duties to support a large research project within Geisinger. Research Assistant will work on SPARK study, a large national study of genetic changes that cause autism and developmental delays. Primary responsibilities include study management and recruitment.
Reports to Cora Taylor, PhD at Geisinger Autism & Developmental Medicine Institute (ADMI).

Demonstrates computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
Strong skills and knowledge in social media outreach (Facebook).

Demonstrates communication and organizational skills, including a strong attention to detail.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in science or health related field required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Job will require travel as indicated by study activities. Travel includes recruitment events, meetings with grant funders, and research conference travel. Occasional weekend work is required.
