University of the Sciences (USciences) seeks applications for the Director of the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program. The program director, who will report to the chair of Department of Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Business (PHB) in the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, will serve as the academic and administrative leader of the MBA program. The MBA program director is responsible for the recruitment, retention and success of students and faculty in the MBA program. The Director is also responsible for the ongoing evaluation of curriculum and adjunct faculty teaching. The Director supervises an Assistant Director who assists the Director in his/her responsibilities. The successful candidate must be eligible for a non-tenure track appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor in the Department. This is a full-time, 12 month faculty position. This position is available immediately, but should be filled no later than the Summer of 2020.
USciences offers one of the few specialized MBA programs in the country dedicated exclusively to the pharmaceutical and healthcare business, and the first MBA program offering a medical cannabis business management option. The MBA offers both on-campus evening and real-time online classes. Both the BS and MBA programs in pharmaceutical and healthcare business are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

Provides vision and leadership in creating new opportunities and areas of study in the MBA program.
Tracks student progress and success by maintaining student files.
Provides mentoring to MBA students.
Recruits, hires and mentors MBA adjuncts faculty members.
Participates in the evaluation and quality improvement of faculty members.
Prepares course schedules.
Leads the assessment program for the MBA and maintains quality to meet accreditation standards.
As a faculty member, teach in MBA and undergraduate business programs.
Supervises Assistant Director of the MBA program.
Serve on Departmental, College and University committees.
Perform scholarly work as appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
The candidate should possess a doctoral degree in business or a healthcare related-field and an MBA.
The preferred candidate will have teaching experience at the university level and relevant professional experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare sector.
The incumbent should be prepared to teach online and evening on campus MBA courses, as well as undergraduate courses.
Preference may be given to candidates with previous experience in online modes of teaching.
The finalist will be required to successfully pass a background check.
