There are two (2) Infrastructure Operations Division Manager positions available. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing one of three divisions in the Street and Bridge Operations; The District Maintenance Division, The Utility and Structures Division, or the Pavement and Infrastructure Division.
The District Maintenance Division is responsible for planned and unplanned street maintenance and repair in the City right-of-way, such as downtown street cleaning and maintenance, street milling and overlay, minor concrete repair, pothole repair, roadway obstruction/debris removal, guardrail and installation and repair of safety barriers and various amenities. The District Maintenance Division is also responsible for coordinating emergency response, which may include but is not limited to inclement weather events such as flooding, ice/snow, and other natural disasters, to ensure roadway safety.
The Utility and Structure Division is responsible for permanent repairs of utility cuts in the right of way as well as construction and maintenance of concrete structures including sidewalks, ADA ramps, Curb & Gutter, and concrete bridge repairs.
The Pavement and Infrastructure Division is responsible for Street resurfacing including Overlay, Seal Coat, Fog Seal, Crack Seal and Street Surface Repairs.
Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to the job, plus six (6) years of experience in planning, directing, and organizing operations in a field related to the job, including three (3) years of experience in a supervisor capacity. Any equivalent combination of education or experience may be substituted.
1) Management experience in right-of-way construction, maintenance, and/or repair operations. 2) Experience forecasting expenditures and developing, monitoring and managing an annual operating budget. 3) Demonstrated experience managing large scale organizational change while aligning with the organization’s mission, values, and goals. 4) Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining a positive workplace culture. 5) Experience developing and implementing work plans to organize, schedule and execute planned and unplanned road maintenance and repair work to effectively utilize time, equipment and resources. 6) Experience reviewing and analyzing data to develop workload projections, track variances and monitor and report on operational performance. 7) Experience managing and coordinating large scale emergency response efforts in the event of natural disasters to restore safe right-of-way conditions. 8) Experience creating visual presentation material and making presentations to a variety of audiences. 9) Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
