Atlantic Health System is seeking an experienced full-time Risk Manager for Risk Management- Corp., to work from 8:00am - 4:00pm including on-call and weekends as required by the department.
Responsible for the investigation, management, and reporting of clinical events consistent with the NJ Patient Safety Act and AHS Policies
Will work with clinical and administrative leadership on patient safety issues
Respond to significant occurrences; review facts; review medical record/documentation; preserve any evidence; interview staff
Provide recommendations to staff re: investigation/handling of the event to appropriate management, administrators
Refer to peer review, Quality & Outcomes Management, Committees to address as appropriate
Review incident and determine whether constitutes Serious Preventable Event under the Patient Safety Act
Provide in-service training, education to nursing staff, medical staff, residency staff, as requested
National certification preferred
Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to create PowerPoint presentations and excel spreadsheets
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work as a team member; strong work ethic; 5 years of clinical nursing experience
